GLP

The fate of agrichemicals and their breakdown products has always been of major concern. Thorough tests are therefore necessary to provide accurate data in order to establish withholding periods and to set maximum residue levels. In overseas countries this is done in accordance with OECD Principles of GLP.

As a result of many years of residue trials Geelen Research became one of the first New Zealand companies to be accredited by IANZ in May 2002 (Reg No 9) for compliance to the OECD Principles of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) for "the performance of field residue studies of agricultural chemicals". Agrivet Services continues to operate under this accreditation.
