North Island head office

The company’s head office is in Havelock North, and research is primarily undertaken in Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand’s leading horticulture region and the major processing area.  It is noted for its warm, dry climate.

With the necessary contacts in the horticultural and agricultural industries, trials are also conducted in other parts of New Zealand where specific crops or pests and diseases can be more prevalent than in Hawke’s Bay.  These areas include Tauranga, Gisborne, Waikato, Manawatu and Auckland, as well as regions of the South Island, including Nelson, Blenheim, Christchurch and Central Otago.

Christchurch office

An office was established in Christchurch in 2009 to allow more research to be carried out throughout the South Island and on a larger scale.  Although work was previously undertaken in parts of the South Island, the time was opportune to expand with the growing requirements of the horticultural and agricultural industries.  Sean Lange has had extensive experience in a wide range of horticultural areas and manages the South Island branch.  His involvement in animal health work will also enable him to partake in animal research trial work.

Central Otago is a region noted for its harsh winters and hot, dry summers.  A specialist horticulture region, it primarily focussed on apricots and cherries, although in recent years grapes have become more extensive.  Due to the expansion of Agrivet Services into the South Island, work can easily be conducted in this region.

Australia

Through our association with Agrisearch Services Pty Ltd, who have offices located in every major state throughout Australia (with the exception of Tasmania), research can also be organised to be conducted in various parts of Australia.
